A CMS (Content Management Site) site allows you to add or edit content using a word processing-type editor. These editors are usually labelled as WYSIWYG editors – What You See Is What You Get.
A ‘static’ site is an entry level site. As implied by its name, it neither moves nor interacts. Static sites are generally programmed in standard web code (html) and uploaded to your domain.
Another pseudonym is “brochure site” – which says it all.
